Press Release: “WHITE HOLE” is a collaboration between light artist Manuel Biedermann & installation designer Marie Alice Wolfszahn.
The artwork consists of 20 fluorescent tubes bursting through a mirror at varying angles, lighting up to an algorithmically changing rhythm. The angles move when viewed from different perspectives, appearing as a chaos of glowing lines broken in the reflection.
White holes are essentially reversed black holes – matter and light swallowed by a black hole may potentially erupt from a white hole either somewhere else in the cosmos or in another universe.
Supported by RADIUM, presented at LHF 19.
